Staged over four nights in February, pupils from Years 7 to Year 12 at Great Yarmouth Charter Academy entertained the town with an amazing performance of Grease.

The show was filled with popular musical numbers that were performed by a wonderful cast that sang, danced and acted throughout the show. Accompanied by professional lighting and sound it was amazing to see the pupils enjoying this opportunity. For many, it would have been the first time involved in a performance of this magnitude and was a great experience for them.

With many standout performances from young people at Great Yarmouth Charter Academy, everyone has lots to be proud of, and a real testament to the work both the students and staff put into the production! In support of the principal cast, students have taken to becoming backing singers, sound technicians, stage managers, props & costume designers and front of house- they have triumphed in pulling together a truly magnificent show.

Principal, Dean Rosembert said:

“We’re so proud of all pupils who have taken part in the performances of Grease this week. Not only is it a result of the wonderful performances by our students, but also of those who worked on set design, managed the backstage and supported front-of-house. The hard work and determination of the cast and crew has been inspiring”.

Students across Inspiration Trust schools have the opportunity to take part in performances, musicals and concerts.
